Colour Block

Recently, I have been checking out Top Shop quite often and found some nice things. Early fall collection is up. Better enjoy the sun while you still can. :)
Hat: Bejeweled Knitted Beret
Top: Casual Contrast Stripe Shirt (Top Shop)
Pants: Sateen Skinny Pants (Dynamite)
Shoes: Melody Pointed Lace-up Boots

Treasure Hunt: Fish Print Dress from Zara

So I just notice the Fish Print Dress from Zara is going on sale now (original $119, Sales price $39). It reminds me of Alexander Mcqueen's Atlantis collection, formally known as his last runway show. (R.I.P McQueen). I personally adore the print of the Zara version of the Atlantis. It's fresh but yet, simple enough. The silhouette is nothing but elegant. The only thing is that the material doesn't feel summer enough. However, by pairing it with a blazer and heels, it creates a very sophisticated fall look.

3D Hipster Glasses

Hello Walkers! You know those 3D glasses you get when you watch a 3D movie with Cineplex? I just thought of a new way to recycle those glasses and turn them into a statement-making fashion apparatus. Whether or not it works towards or against your social acceptance, it's your call. But I just want to share the idea.

Basically what you do is to poke a hole in the middle of the lenses with a sharp Stanley knife or a scissor, remove the lens to create a lens-less eye-wear. The whole idea is that, as the caption REAL 3D implies, you see the real world in 3D through the glasses. I get mixed reviews for the new glasses. What do you think?

Noire & Blanche

Good afternoon Street Walkers! It's a gorgeous afternoon in Vancouver. 4 sunny days in a row should be a solid indicator that summer has FINALLY arrived upon us. Walking along those downtown streets in the soothing sun, you simply can't ask for more. And I simply can't be more motivated to get prettied up.

I have recently stomped upon this beautiful polyester drape shirt in a local store called Spank. The asymmetric back piece flows nicely in gentle breezes. It pairs very well with straight black maxi to create a simple black and white colour block. Sandals in subtle colour like hocolate-chip won't disturb the simplicity of this look. As for jeweleries, I like to pick ones with the colour that already exists in the palette. So in this case, the Triangle-Collar Necklace from Urban Outfitters will do the deeds and works perfectly well with the V-neck. Another option would be some tribal beads in neutral colours.

You can go with a clear and casual make up with this outfit; or if you are feeling a little bit adventurous, put on your favourite red lipstick and wear a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer glasses. The nice thing about this look is that depending on your make up, you can either wear it to a fancy dinner or a hipster party.

Lipstick: M.A.C. Sheen Supreme Full Speed
Necklace: Urban Outfitters
Eyewear: Wayfarer Reading Glasses from USED
Shirt: Asymmetric cut drape shirt from Spank
Bottom: Full-length Maxi Skirt from Dynamite
Bracelet: Dynamite
Shoes: Kallenberg from Aldo

All the items should be able to found in stores in season. Enjoy the sun!

Hello world! This is my Nth attempt to start a blog. By start, I mean a strong intention to continue posting. Except for this time, I mean it by heart.

I went to a boarding school and, therefore, grew up in uniforms. I didn't have much say in what to wear each and every day. Wearing makeup was considered a breach of the code of conduct. I am not declaring myself as a style specialist. I am just this average girl walking down the street, who now really appreciates fashion and personality.
